I was asked by a visitor how he could
block queries
for his author ID and archive pages on his WordPress blog using
the Apache .htaccess file. He may have wanted to do this to prevent
duplicate content
and/or the unintended disclosure of his login name. This article answers that question, as well as provides additional
things that need to be done if either or both those reasons were behind the query.
